What are your business hours?+

We are open Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. seasonally (typically March thru September).

Where are you located?+

We are located in the South Walton Business Center, about 1/2 mile north of Hwy. 98 on CR 393 N in Santa Rosa Beach

What types of rental equipment do you carry?+

We carry everything from small hand tools to aerial lifts and earth-moving equipment.

What is your service area?+

From our central location in South Walton, our main service area covers the communities along 30A, Sandestin, Miramar Beach, Seascape and Santa Rosa Beach. We also provide service to much of Walton County extending into Okaloosa and Bay Counties covering Freeport, Destin, Niceville, DeFuniak Springs, Ft. Walton and Panama City Beach. Just contact us, and we’ll let you know if we provide service to your area.

I’ve never rented from you before. What do I need?+

We require a valid picture ID, as well as a credit card in some cases.

Can you advise me on the equipment I need and demonstrate how to use it?+

Absolutely. Each of our team members has many years of experience working in the rental industry and will be happy to give you professional advice, demonstrate the equipment and answer any questions you may have regarding its proper usage, until you feel comfortable renting it.

Do you offer delivery of rental equipment?+

Yes, we offer an affordable delivery service based on the size of equipment, size of trailer (if required) and distance to your job site or home from our store.

Can I just pick up the equipment from your store?+

Sure, as long as you have a suitable trailer if the equipment requires towing.

What if I want to pick up equipment that requires towing but don’t have my own trailer?+

No problem. As long as you have a vehicle that is equipped for towing, you may rent one of our trailers at a discounted rate if rented with the equipment.

Can I schedule a last minute delivery?+

Yes, we are flexible, and in some cases, we can have the equipment to you within an hour of receiving your rental order.

Will someone be able to help me load and unload the equipment?+

Yes, we will be available to assist you in loading and unloading the equipment at our store or your project site.

Does the rental equipment come full of fuel and is there a separate fuel charge?+

All of our fuel-powered equipment comes with a full tank of fuel and is ready to go. For smaller equipment, the price of the equipment rental includes the first tank. For larger equipment, there will be a separate charge for fuel, which will be detailed at the time of rental or quote.

What extra costs are added to the posted rental rates on your website?+

To come to the total rental price, additional charges that may apply include fuel, damage waiver and tax. Please contact us for a Total Rental Price quote.

What are your rental periods? Is actual usage of the equipment limited within the periods?+

We offer 4 rental periods which is the amount of time you may keep the equipment. Actual usage is limited* based on each of these periods, as follows:
4-Hour (4 hours of actual usage)
Day/24 Hours (8 hours of actual usage)
Week/7 Days (40 hours of actual usage)
4-Week/28 Days (160 hours of actual usage)
Weekend (pick up between 2 pm and 5 pm on Friday & return between 7 am and 9 am on Monday for the 1 day rate; please contact our store at 850-622-0980 for hours of actual usage limit that applies to weekend rate).
*additional rental charges will apply for actual usage over the limits.

Am I responsible for any damage to, or theft of, the equipment while I’m renting it?+

The short answer is yes. However, the Damage Waiver will cover accidental damages occurring during, and as a result of, normal usage of the rental equipment, subject to the following exceptions:

  • Damage resulting from the Renter’s neglect, abuse or misuse of the property (i.e. rental equipment)
  • Any loss due to theft, conversion or mysterious disappearance.

Renter may decline the Damage Waiver, and forgo any applicable waiver of damage protection, by presenting an accepted Certificate of Liability Insurance listing Coastal Equipment Rental as certificate holder. Damage Waiver is not insurance. Please see our rental agreement or contact us for more information.

Are your rental rates competitive?+

Yes, we believe you’ll find our rental rates to be competitive with all competitors in our market. We are continuously monitoring our rates and our competitors’ rates, and adjust them as our local market changes. In fact, if you’ve received a lower total price quote (including fuel, taxes & fees) for the same rental period for identical equipment from any other rental company, let us know at the time of rental and we’ll match it. That’s our Competitive Rate Guarantee.

Are you a franchise company?+

No, we are proud to be a local, family owned and managed company since 1997. We are dedicated to serving South Walton and the surrounding communities from our convenient Santa Rosa Beach location.

I don’t see the equipment I want to rent, will you purchase it?+

We are always looking for new equipment on the market that can help our customers work more efficiently and safely. If we don’t have what you need, please let us know and we will consider purchasing it.

Who are your customers?+

We have a diverse customer base made up of construction contractors/subcontractors, professional landscapers, homeowners, DIYers, condo & homeowner associations and local municipalities.

In addition to renting, do you sell and service equipment and parts?+

Yes, we are a certified sales and service dealer for STIHL, Exmark and Hustler outdoor power equipment and Honda engines. We also stock thousands of parts if you’d like to do the work yourself. Additionally, we sell and service several brands of construction equipment. Please contact us for specific brands we support.
